Swimming is a passion, and I belonged in that group, but it is an acquired taste in the options available under the 'passion' section of lifestyle, as not all agrees its a fun thing to do.
It is considered dangerous by some, as cases of death by/in the water is not uncommon all over the world.
And there are people who claims they can't swim, some of them never bother to learn, while the rest may have reasons of much more complexity.
I would like to share with you on some views of mine, as i usually goes to the swimming pool alone, and i may not be under the supervision of lifeguards when i do so.
It is important that one be of utmost vigilance when they go swimming, be it a pool, river, sea, or any body of water.
The risk that you have to take need to be weighed as incident unfavorable may occurs.
First and foremost, decide and understand how well and how long can you swim, this will really decrease the danger of getting drowned and you can avoid getting into one.
If you can't swim well, do NOT venture into deep waters.
Do NOT play in water that you do not know well of the depth, this is especially notable when swimming out in natural bodies of water.(waterfalls, river, lake, etc)
Stay clear of the deep end of the swimming pool when you go to one, until you're able to swim better.
Many are the people who never bother doing any warm ups before they go into the water, no matter you're going into the water for fun or a serious swim, DO some stretching to your muscles, cramps can be avoided in most case simply by doing this.
You DON'T have to do a complete stretching course like a pro, but a moderate stretch to the exercised part of your body will suffice in helping.
Lastly, a few more things that might help in knowing...
Please DON'T panic and start struggling and throwing your hands and legs around if you're drowning, calm yourself down as the water may not be too deep for you to land your feet on the bottom(that is why it's important to know the depth of the water you're in) and kicked yourself up to the surface to breath, do this...and edge yourself to the side of the water, or somewhere more shallow, call for help if your head can stay above the water longer.
When someone tries to rescue you, DON'T struggle either, in many cases the rescuers are choked and cling by the drowned and both end up not being saved.
Throw a life-ring/something that floats to someone that's drowned instead of jumping into the water to save them, and leave the rescue to a lifeguard or someone with a license in lifesaving to avoid further incidents whenever possible
With all these you may think that swimming is something that's best avoided, but if you would just be a bit more careful, it is not.
Most fun have risk, but being able to handle the commons can help preventing it, don't you think?
I hope I didn't miss out anything important...

I'm old enough to know better, but still too young to care. -anonymous
If you think that something small cannot make a difference - try going to sleep with a mosquito in the room. -anon.
It is only when we truly know and understand that we have a limited time on earth and that we have no way of knowing when our time is up that we will begin to live each day to the fullest, as if it were the only one we had.-Elizabeth Kubler-Ross
(i'm a few hundred year late?yea, i've thought of this, but we're never the 1st:D)
I think we consider too much the good luck of the early bird and not enough the bad luck of the early worm.-Theodore Roosevelt

To thine own self be true, and it must follow, as the night the day, thou canst not then be false to any man.-William Shakespeare

Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.-Albert Einstein
(we're all living in and with dreams...)
Happiness is a butterfly, which, when pursued, is always just beyond your grasp, but which, if you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you.-Nathaniel Hawthorne
(well, i'm sure many ppl know about this one)

“You can gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, ‘I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along’… You must do the thing you cannot do.”

Reminiscing
Trying to think back on the little years of ago that we've been spending carefreely...
Thinking back, the 5 years before graduation from Secondary, and the 5 years after graduation.
Things, sure has taken to all the changes that neither of us could have ever imagined, at least i couldn't have imagine what i would have been doing by now.
Back then, all i do is sleep away during the lessons.
Hm, i sorta regret it that i never 'escape' from school...
figure it would have been fun that way.
There are dumb stuff, not so dumb stuff, and maybe some smart stuff, all had became memories of the days that passed.
5 years from there, and another 5 years from now, we still won't be able to foresee as many things as we'd like to, BUT I DO BELIEVE, WE SHOULD DO ANY MANY THING AS WE CAN, eh?
like the saying, To be or not to be, that is the question...
Good night fools:D

A new page.A new year.
Happy new year 2010.
A new page begins in the time of current civilization, a new year for our Earth...
We make resolutions, welcome in the new year, and send away the old.
In just a brief second, yester-year had became LAST year.
Actually I don't really know what to say about the welcoming thingy, but just wanted to wrote something for the new year.
Let's see, we have nice fireworks, we were basically 'surrounded' by the fireworks in all directions.
There's that full moon up in the sky, which actually occurred twice in 31 December 2009, a blue moon they call it.
New year, that sounds great, a pinch of sentiments maybe, but for something that becomes new every 365 days, there's that long 'wait' for it, a long living to make it comes:D

Civilization VS Nature
Politics, economy, nature environment, nature resources, culture, religions, technology.
All these and many more are what's that revolving within our planet earth in these days.
With the power of connections through the world wide web, exchanges of information has surely went faster than we could have ever imagined, and have surged the world to work somewhat differently than what it once used to be.
All these, the earth civilization, has gone a long long way since the dawn of man.
However, it would seems that as civilization move forward, nature has taken its tool and further decay from what was once a planet full of greens to a world now overclouded by mega skyscrapers, and all the refuses that man create in their forwarding movement in civilization.
With this, does Sir Charles Darwin's definition on evolution-nature selection still works?
Since we wouldn't know if civilization is actually nature selection itself, but through out the past century, there had been numerous findings on new species of life form constantly being discovered, and some species like the Panda, Tigers, and other species that are constantly decreasing at a painstaking rate, being added into the list of endangered species.
Is this nature selection that causes the species to slowly diminished?
or is it because of reasons like human's act, but is that nature selection?or was it the other way round?
(just me wondering, since i've read a punchline which is something like "Mankind took a step forward, and nature is left behind.")
